we are happy to invite you this year again to our "Scottish Festival" from
16. to 17. of June 2012 in Xanten at the Lower Rhine
The two highlights of the festiavl are:
Pipeband Competition - BAG Open
The BAG-Open is an international Pipeband Competition,
where bands from Germay, the Netherlands an Belgium will take part. The BAG-Open is one of the four Main Pipeband Coimpetitions here in Germay, so that at the end of the year the All German Champion can be found out. You will also find a Miniband and Solo Competition on sunday.
The Team Highland Games/Mini Highland Games
At the Team HGs on SUNDAY you`ll find male and female teams with 6 persons each who struggle in different diciplines for victory. Not for victory but for fun will be the Mini Highland Games on SATURDAY where the children can try their best on the different discuiplines like the adults....just with smaller devices. You won´t find only a musically and sporty events on the festivalarea, you will find also something for palate: You will find Haggis, Fish ´n´Chips, fudges and marmalade, shortbread and tea......and of course lot´s of whisky. There will be also suplliers for kilts and bagpipes, CD´s and flags....if you want you can get a full outfit here.
